Shipping To Canada
Capitol Lighting’s 1-800lighting is pleased to ship directly to our Canadian customers. Please be advised that 1-800Lighting cannot ship any merchandise to a PO Box address and that because of the complexities of cross-border shipping, our Free Shipping offer does not apply.
Standard Ground Shipping - FedEx/UPS Items
All items will ship from warehouses around the US directly to your door via FedEx or UPS and their Canadian partners. All our shipments will comply with Canada Customs regulations and final order totals will include all duties and your local GST+PST or HST.
To simplify the process, our shipping calculator will calculate all related charges based on your postal code during checkout, connecting directly with FedEx to provide the most accurate delivery charges.
Please note: We pass on our preferred shipping rates and do not mark up our shipping fees in any way.
LTL Freight Service - Large & Oversized Items
Large items, such as furniture large foyer chandeliers and torchiere floor lamps, may ship via truck freight.
Please note: Our shipping calculator is unable to calculate actual charges associated with LTL Freight shipments during checkout. You will be notified by phone or email of additional charges required for your order or you can contact us by clicking this link to confirm all costs.
Using a Freight Forwarder
At any time, we are happy to work with a freight forwarder of your choice. Our standard US shipping policies would apply getting the product to your Freight Forwarder and you would be responsible for having the items then shipped to you in Canada. If you live close to the border, many Canadians will use a FedEx or UPS Store in the US to receive their delivery and then coordinate having the item(s) delivered from there.
Please note: All items must be inspected upon delivery and damages reported immediately. 1-800Lighting is not responsible for anything that occurs after your order has been received by the Freight Forwarder or shipping intermediary.
Returns from Canada
You are responsible for all return shipping charges unless the item is determined to be damaged irreparably or defective. We have no contact with Canada Customs so you are also responsible for collecting any duties and taxes paid once your item has been returned to us.
