The Savoy House Alsace fan d'lier flaunts a chic rustic industrial look inspired by the wine barrels in a French vineyard. It includes a remote control, halogen bulb and light source with white etched glass. Reclaimed Wood finish with chestnut blades. Damp area rated, so Alsace can be used in covered outdoor areas. This fan dlier combines the best of ceiling fans and chandeliers in one stylish fixture. Can this fan hang from a pendant or must it be mounted to ceiling?
BEST ANSWER: With what comes in the kit, it must be mounted to the ceiling. We hung it outside on our patio.

Our bedroom is 12x12 with a vaulted ceiling up to 14 feet. Is this fan the right size?

Can this be installed outdoors?
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. We installed ours on our covered patio a couple years ago and its still performing flawlessly!

Can this be mounted on a slanted porch ceiling?
BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes, this fan can be installed on a sloped ceiling up to 33 degrees. I hope this information helps.

I can' t find reverse on the body of fan or in the remote-instructions state the reverse switch is on top of fan but it isn't there???? The fan is Alsace-26" fan d'Lier. 26-9536-FD-196
BEST ANSWER: Hi, Please click on the Installation Guide link and see: 16. Operate the reverse switch for airflow. It is located on the motor roof at the base of the rod. I hope this information helps.
