The Monte Carlo 52 Inch Maverick II features a 85.0 X 28.0 6 speed motor with a thirteen degree blade pitch. With a sleek modern silhouette, a DC motor and super energy-efficiency, the 52 Inch Maverick II ceiling fan from Monte Carlo features softly rounded blades and elegantly simple housing. Maverick has a 52-inch blade sweep and a 3-blade design that delivers a distinct profile and incredible airflow for living rooms, great rooms or outdoor covered areas. It includes a hand-held remote with six speeds and reverse, and is available in six distinct finish options: Brushed Steel housing with Dark Walnut blades, Brushed Steel housing with Koa blades, Matte Black housing with Dark Walnut Blades, Aged Pewter housing with Light Grey Weathered Oak blades, Matte Black housing with Matte Black blades and Matte White housing with Matte White blades. All versions feature beautiful hand-carved, balsa wood blades. ENERGY STAR qualified. Maverick fans are damp-rated, and may be used indoors and in covered outdoor spaces.

I have a 320 square foot room. Will a 52 inch fan work for this or should I get a larger size?
BEST ANSWER: We put two in our living area of our cabin. It is a loft design with very high ceilings. The square footage of that space is 600ish square feet. So I would think that one would be sufficient for you space. The fans are very helpful and serve the purpose well of moving the air supplementally when needed!

Can you add an additional downrod?
BEST ANSWER: We have a vaulted ceiling in our bedroom and we added a down rod. The fan is queit and pushes air through the room. Very happy with this purchase.

Does this fan have a light?
BEST ANSWER: I am not aware if a light is an option. But my model does not. The simple, smooth line of the design is nice, and moves air well and quietly at the medium speed.

My mother in law does not like the screws showing , is there anyway to put a cover plate ?
BEST ANSWER: I have the black version with the walnut blades, and the black plate doesn’t bother me. On the website, with the brushed nickel finish, I think the screws are more pronounced.

Can this be use on a sloped ceiling?
BEST ANSWER: I have mine mounted on a vaulted ceiling at the peak without problem. An orbital base allows accommodation for a ceiling slope, but a 52’’ blade would probably require a long enough drop rod to clear the ceiling itself.
