Also in a room 15 long 12 wide is 52 inc fan too big?

BEST ANSWER: We installed the fan in a similar sized room and it looks fine. I would say that ceiling height is probably more important. Ours are 8ft and any lower wouldn't work. We really do like the look and functionality of the fan

Can the color temperature of the fan be changed? If you buy a 2700K could you later replace the lamp with 3000K or 3500K?

BEST ANSWER: Our light does work and we had a dimmer switch. You have to keep the dimmer on high and adjust the fan light with the remote. My electrician is changing us off a dimmer to make it easier.

The Kelvin definition is “the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature, equal in magnitude to the degree Celsius.” Scientific jargon aside, Kelvin is used in lighting to measure the color temperature of a particular light bulb. And in short, the higher the Kelvin rating (expressed in K), the whiter the light will be.

BEST ANSWER: Depending on the degree of slope, most Modern Forms Fans can be hung on a slope of say 30-33 degrees.

What does color temperature mean?

BEST ANSWER: It tells you how bright or white the light is. For example 2700K has a yellow tint to it. 3000K is white like daylight. Once you get up to the 4000K plus the light is so bright it has a blue tint to it.

Can the 4.5 inch downrod that comes with this fan be replaced with the Modern Forms 1 inch downrod so that the distance from ceiling to bottom of fan is shorter?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately it cannot be. It would over heat the fan, and burn out the motor. Try searching for a flush mounted fan. Hope this helps!

What is the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan? Are longer down posts available in white?
