Is the motor AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current)?
BEST ANSWER: I don’t know the answer. The fan moves a lot of air and quiet. I purchased one for living room with out light and one for master bedroom with light. The wood color is nice. I would definitely purchase again. Very nice fan.

I'm unable to turn this fan off, even when I remove the battery from the remote control. Anyone else have this problem? Solution?
BEST ANSWER: Most likely the fan is wired to a switched connection. Try finding a switch in the room that it may be connected to and give it a try. Also, check the wiring. Might have been connected to be hot all of the time.
