Classic yet commanding, the Minka-Aire Concept II Three-Blade Flush-Mount Ceiling Fan is a real space-saver. This ultra-versatile ceiling fan has a built-in light — either LED or halogen, depending on your preferences — and comes with a full-function handheld remote that allows you to cycle to three speeds for custom-like comfort. The stylish Concept II Ceiling Fan features a flush-mount design that protrudes only 10.5 inches from the ceiling, so you can install it in rooms with lower ceilings, if desired. Additionally, a cap for non-light is included if you'd prefer to install the fan without the integrated light. Although it features an ingenious design with cutting-edge features, this easy-to-install ceiling fan requires 75 percent less time and labor to assemble than conventional ceiling fans.

Can this fan be installed outdoors?
BEST ANSWER: No it cannot be installed outdoors. The fan is designated as appropriate for "Dry Locations" only. You will need to look for a fan suitable for outdoor use, or if in a covered outdoor space, you can use a fan suitable for use in "Damp Locations".

Can the fan work with wall switch instead of the remote? In other words, can the fan only be controlled with the remote?
