How many speed settings are on this fan?
BEST ANSWER: I’m not using the provided remote and transponder. I instead went with a Lutron Casetta smart fan control switch, and with that, I have 4 speeds.

Will this be ok in a room with 8 ft ceilings?
BEST ANSWER: I’ve had it in a bedroom with 8’ ceilings for several years now without issue. The fan blades are actually closer to the ceiling on this than the fan it replaced. Also penny of height below the pendant portion. Overall, it’s been a great fan. Definitely recommend it.

From the base to end of can light, what is tge measurement?
Do blades come in a black finish on opposite side?
Can I install the fan without the light kit?
