Giving Back

Our purpose is “Making Lives Brighter” and that holds true for our communities. The spirit of giving back and being a good corporate citizen has been with the organization since its inception.

Four generations of philanthropic and involved owners, the Lebersfeld family understands that companies have a civic duty to give back. That responsibility is embodied by Capitol’s Making Lives Brighter initiatives which contributes to over 100 local and national charitable organizations, including American Cancer Society, Embrace Kids Foundation, House of Hope, JAFCO, Michael J Fox Foundation, St Jude's Hospital, Daughters of Israel, Women in Distress and Tri-County Animal Rescue.

The single largest cause supported by Capitol Lighting is Habitat for Humanity. Capitol annually donates over $100,000 in cash and merchandise, participates in home builds, and provides leadership on the HFH board. Capitol’s unique understanding of the importance of the home, blends beautifully with Habitat’s vision of “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.”
